The US Patent Office has registered a patent for car holders that can not spill liquid under unusual road conditions. The authors of the famous invention were specialists of Ford.

The design of the model allows you to keep the vessel with water in a horizontal plane without the risk of tilting and spilling. At the same time, the device is not equipped with any electronic and automatic controls. The basis of this system is a special suspension, similar in structure to the gyroscope. The glass inserted into the hole of the holder continues to remain level due to the fact that the holder is deflected in different directions depending on the position in which the vehicle is located. The roll of the car corresponds to the special position of the cup holder, the same applies to turns.

The principle of operation of the device is quite simple. Its lower compartment is stocked ballastwhich allows you to move the center of gravity of the entire system down, thus tilting the cup holder itself and keeping it in a state of balance. To prevent dirt or dust from entering the liquid, a protective cover is provided. It also serves as a guarantee that if the contents of the cup holder are spilled, the interior of the car will not suffer.

Ford representatives are hoping that in the very near future, cars of a well-known brand will start to go off the assembly line already in configuration with an improved version of the cup holder. In the meantime, experiments and experiments to improve the invention continue.
