Nissan has announced the electric car - the new Leaf "second generation"

For Russia, the use of electric cars is still exotic, at the same time in the world more than 1.5 million people drive them. Of course, in comparison with the billionth value of the users of gasoline and diesel cars, this number may turn out to be insignificant. However, given the fact that since 2015 the number of fans of electric cars has increased more than 4 times, we can safely conclude that the idea of ​​acquiring this type of transport is spreading among the population at a fantastic speed.

Nissan Leaf in its current configuration is one of the most popular models in its class. The developers of the new model promise, in addition to the existing characteristics, to present new useful and exceptional functions. The updated car will be able to withstand longer periods of time. without recharging - more than 400 kmthat for an electric car is a great indicator.The appearance of the new car will be truly futuristic, the Nissan IDS, presented at the exhibition in 2015, was taken as the basis for the design. The car will be a five-door hatchback with a rounded body and a floating roof.

Among the presented functionality, you can highlight the ProPilot system, which allows autonomous movement within a single lane, an energy-saving mode of operation and an accelerated recharging procedure.

It is worth noting the announced functionality, called E-pedal, allowing you to control the processes of acceleration and deceleration. with help single pedal. So, when you press the pedal, the car will accelerate, with a gradual weakening of pressure on it - to slow down, if you release the pedal completely, the car will stop. According to the developers, this method of control will facilitate the procedure of driving in conditions of traffic jams typical of our time, and due to energy recovery, the process activated by this option will increase the power reserve. However, if you don’t like this way, you can turn it off at any time and switch to traditional two-pedal management.

In the conditions of uncontrolled development of technical progress and the gradual awareness of the governments of many countries of the world of the dangers arising from ignoring environmental problems, further improvement of electric vehicles and the infrastructure necessary for their use may become one of the priorities. Nissan is trying not only to keep up with the times, but also to anticipate the existing state of affairs, investing in the renewal of its car fleet.
