Ford has filed a patent application for its new invention - a table equipped with an airbag.

These tables will be installed in unmanned models of cars. The purpose of the creators is to diversify passengers' leisure with an additional opportunity to use the table. In general, the idea is excellent, because it will allow, instead of being buried in smartphones or in a meaningless contemplation of the view from a car window, to organize a real car feast. The design of the table will allow you to remove it when needed first inside the floor, and the vehicle seats will be configured in such a way that they can be freely deployed, ensuring each passenger has a place at the table.

In order to make such a design safe, manufacturers intend to provide it with ring airbag. It will be at the end of the tabletop and will not reveal itself before an unforeseen or emergency situation occurs.In the event that such a situation does occur, the butt will be transformed into a soft donut and will prevent passengers from possible bruises and bumps. The first such car is planned to be released in 2021.

It is not for the first time that Ford’s company has presented unusual innovations for its cars and is trying to introduce them into real life.
