The current analysis of the market for sales of home appliances and electronics showed that consumer demand has declined markedly in the coming year. Retail trade in all major networks is in the red - this is what the Vedomosti newspaper claims, referring to its own data.

Tablet PCs suffered the most - demand for them fell by as much as 20%. Smartphones also cause less interest of buyers. So, in the first months of the year their sales decreased by 4%. However, this phenomenon is quite understandable: this small digital technology often acts as a New Year's gift. Holidays are over - sales have fallen. But how to explain the decline in demand for large household appliances: gas and electric stoves, refrigerators?

Experts explain this situation by strengthening the position of the ruble against world currencies.As a rule, this causes a decrease in prices, because most of the equipment presented on the shelves of electronics supermarkets is import.

Buyers interest in digital cameras also declining. This is due to the expansion of mobile gadgets: most modern phones are equipped with very high-quality optics with high resolution in a compact package. Few people want to carry around bulky equipment for a couple of household shots.

Despite the fact that this technique belongs to the “above average” price category, Russians continue to buy products from the world famous brand.
