Soon it will be possible to observe the thoughts of a person through a monitor.
Researchers at the University of South Africa made a real discovery in the field of medical bioengineering. They found a way to connect the human brain to the Internet.
This project was named “Brainternet”, experts expect that the technology will help improve machine learning and significantly improve computer interfaces.
The technology functions on the basis of EEG signals, which enter the special brain interface. The received signals are sent to the Raspberry Pi processor, and from it, in turn, to the program interface. All information is shown on the site absolutely open for review, that is, each interested person can observe the processes taking place.
Project manager Adam Pantanovits calls his development a new frontier in the work of neurocomputer systems.
It will allow for a more qualitative and detailed study of the principles of the brain of different people due to the continuous flow of information coming online. And this is not the only purpose of the project. Scientists are also studying the possibility of installing the interaction between the human and the brain. At the moment, these developments are only in the initial stage, but with sufficient funding for research, their development can go very fast.
The human brain is still a little studied organ. I want to believe that the new invention will be another serious step towards the solution of such a complex and so mysterious system.
