Category 5G connectivity is spreading around the world at an accelerated pace. It is expected that in 2019 smartphones that fully support this format will enter the market. However, it is already possible to purchase all the necessary components for the implementation of new generation communication sessions.

For the trial session, VimpelCom (Beeline division) allocated frequencies in the 26600-27200 MHz range, and Huawei provided a device that supports the 5G communication standard with a hybrid router for wireless connectivity. Also, the gNodeB station and the BBU5900 processing module, equipped with a 5G board, were involved in the process.

The demonstration could be seen in the exhibition room of the Moscow Museum. During the conversation, the interlocutors had virtual reality goggles and helmets providing the most realistic image.
