Russian scientists have announced a project to create a wheelchair, managed by sight or the power of thought.

This invention of the new generation is created on the basis of the Kurchatov Institute. In case of successful implementation, such a wheelchair will significantly facilitate the lives of people with disabilities, especially those who have not only their legs, but also their hands are immobilized.

The principle of the novelty is based on the use of devices that record the position of the eye and electrodes that determine the degree of brain activity.

The mechanism of action is as follows: on the display, which is located in front of the owner of the stroller, various commands are displayed. In order to activate a particular team, simply look at it. In case you cannot use the look, you can wear special helmet with electrodes, which will respond to nerve impulses, that is, realize functions based on thoughts.

In the development were involved young researchers - children who want to engage in engineering and have the ability to do so. Many of the ideas generated in the framework of the work shift at Sirius (a special educational center located in the city of Sochi) were adopted by scientists.
