JA Kisarazu-shi cooperative in Japan has created a wolf robot

An unusual solution for the protection of agricultural land was proposed by Japanese farmers. They have created a prototype of a wolf, capable of scaring animals and birds from the fields. In appearance, the robot wolf is extremely similar to a real predator, it is endowed with fur and tusks. The length of 65 cm and the height of 50 cm correspond to the size of a natural animal in its small version.

Awesome image is complemented by red eyes and a system capable of reproducing sounds. The artificial wolf can howl, growl, and also imitate shots, a voice of the person. Infrared sensors will bring the animal to an active state when a hazard arises, that is, when the moving subjects are in close proximity. The rest of the time, the wolf will be in a passive "standby mode", performing security functions solely through its external appearance.

Tests of an unusual invention were carried out in the town of Kisaradzu, Chiba Prefecture. The city authorities were extremely positive about the results of the experiment, they stated that during the period when the wolf robot was in the territory, no animals were seen around. That is, the invention works!

However, despite the extraordinary effectiveness of such a method of dealing with unwanted "guests" in the plots, only a few farmers will be able to afford it. The fact is that the market price of “stuffed animals” is approximately 1,800 dollars. The amount is not astronomical, but for small farms is very significant. It is expected that with increasing demand and the beginning of mass production, the cost of the product can be reduced, it will naturally affect the price.
