After years of absence, Palm smartphones may again go on sale
Palm smartphones after a long break will be available again. This became known after the device brand has passed the certification process in the Wi-fi Alliance and the FCC.
The devices from Palm were well known in the distant 1990s. With the advent of new smartphones on iOS and Android, the manufacturer has been pushed out of the mobile gadget market. In 2010, all the assets were sold to HP, and the new management stopped the sale of smartphones due to the lack of demand for them. A few years later, the Palm brand was bought out by the Chinese manufacturer TLC, and in 2017, information began to appear that in a year the smartphones of the old brand would reappear on the market.
Currently, the new owner of the trademark has not officially announced the emergence of new items. However, the presence of the Palm PVG100 model in the list of certified products may indicate its imminent release.
At the request of the manufacturer, the main technical characteristics and review photos of the model are not open for mass viewing. It is only known that the device works on Android 8.1 OS Oreo, and the wi-fi module functions only in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. These characteristics indicate that the new product is unlikely to be included in the top rating, but for the final conclusions, you must wait for the official information of the manufacturer.
