Nokia 8110 nicknamed "banana" enters the market again
The other day in the Spanish capital, Mobile World Congress was held, at which HMD Global, a brand representing Nokia, announced a new version of the good old Nokia 8110 phone.
The shape of the case of the model in its appearance resembles a banana, so the device itself received a similar nickname. The first such phones appeared back in 1997. Nokia 8110 could be seen in the hands of the main character of the popular film “The Matrix”.
Nokia 8110 was a very popular phone, after the cessation of production, the company received a huge number of petitions asking them to resume production. However, only this year the Finnish manufacturer decided to recreate the forgotten model.
In the updated version, the main feature of the "banana" is preserved - the ability to close the buttons using a special cover. Slider also allows you to answer calls. A 2.4-inch screen translates the image in 320 x 240 pixel format. The model is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 processor, a 2 megapixel camera and a 1500 mA-hour battery.Power is enough for 9 hours of active use in talk mode and for two days when listening to audio files.
The device will be available in May. The proposed color case version is yellow or black. The price of the phone is a little less than 80 euros.
