Appeared robot drone, drawing markings on the football fields
Nissan specialists have created an unmanned device capable of putting marking lines on football grounds. The robot was named Pitch-R and presented in May as part of the UEFA Champions League.
According to the New Atlas portal, the device can apply layouts to fields of various sizes, from small and compact to large-scale and professional, intended for holding international competitions.
The device includes four cameras, GPS, as well as a system that allows you to bypass obstacles and choose the trajectory required for marking. After choosing a place for marking, the paint application procedure takes place. Lines are drawn using a white soluble coating. The whole markup process takes less than half an hour.
When developing the robot, the technology of the Nissan ProPILOT brand was applied. It was originally created to be introduced into cars as a system that allows for semi-autonomous control.Subsequently, ProPILOT was used in some unusual inventions. So, for example, in January of the current year Nissan announced slippers with built-in autoparking system created by its specialists.
