3. The hose is mounted on the back of the washing machine. It is necessary to turn the nut counterclockwise. It is important not to lose the rubber gasket that is inside the nut. Do not forget to put a rag on the floor: after removing the hose, some water may pour out.
4. Cylinder with a mesh can be obtained with pliers, carefully turning it in different directions, without making much effort. If there is an extra mesh in the hose, remove it.
5. Rinse the mesh under running water, remove all contaminants. For better cleaning, you can use a toothbrush.
6. Insert the mesh elements in place and attach the hose. Next, you need to check the assembly for leakage. Open the water tap on the machine and check for leaks.

Drain protection element

In a Samsung washing machine, this cleaning item hides behind a plastic panel. It is fastened with snaps located on the sides. Just insert a flat screwdriver and press a little to remove this panel.

Some manufacturers use different methods of mounting panels to close access to the filter element. You must first review the instructions for the unit. The lid can be opened either by shifting to the side, or by turning around its axis, or in another way.

Substitute a flat tray or place a large rag to drain any excess liquid and do the following:

1. Remove the panel, cover, or open the door (depending on model).
2. If you see a small drain hose, remove the plug from it, and drain the fluid, then reinsert it. If there is no hose, just put a rag on or substitute a tray.
3. The cork is twisted counterclockwise. It happens that it is fixed with a bolt. It is necessary to unscrew it and unscrew the cork, with a protective grid attached to it.
4. The grid should be well cleaned of pieces of scale, dirt, stuck small objects, threads and other things.
5. Insert the part back into the body of the machine, turning it all the way with a little effort, and close the decorative cover.
6. Turn on the device in the rinse and drain mode, and check if there is any leakage of liquid from under the drain.

On older models of washing machines protection from debris on the drain system may be completely absent. And if you notice that the drain is difficult, you will have to remove and disassemble the entire pump with a snail to clean from clogs.

If the drain filter is not removed

At long operation of the machine without cleaning the drain device, the part may stick to the body. To extract it is simply impossible, even with great effort. But do not panic and call the master. This problem can be solved on your own.
