Ultrasonic dryer to dry laundry per minute
Modern dryers are not without drawbacks: many housewives faced significant shrinkage of things after washing. As a rule, fibers of fabric are reduced as a result thermal effects. A completely different principle of action has ultrasonic drying, developed in the national laboratory of Oak Ridge with the participation of General Motors.
The principle of ultrasonic drying
As the name implies, the drying device works by ultrasonic waves, unlike traditional devices that use hot air. After loading the wet laundry, the piezoelectric transducer begins to emit high-frequency ultrasonic waves, which completely dry the fabric in less than half an hour. Depending on the density and type of material, volume of loading, the product dries from 1 to 20 minutes. The water extracted from the laundry turns into steam and flows into a special container, where it is condensed back. The hostess will only need to drain the resulting liquid and get absolutely dry products. Thanks to this technology, the shrinkage of fabric fibers, as well as the formation of pellets on its surface, are eliminated.
Due to the high speed of the dryer, it has excellent energy efficiency: compared to traditional devices, it spends 70% less electricity.
When to wait for sale
At the moment, this is only an invention, but its creators are working on launching a commercial version of the device, which is scheduled for 2017. It is assumed that the main buyers of these products will be mini-laundries - they will be attracted by low power consumption and affordable cost devices. By the way, about the cost: the estimated retail price will be set at about $ 500.
