Ordinary lamp will help to overcome the depression
Scientists of the Institute of Control Systems and Electronics, located in Tomsk, presented a lamp that can cope with the global problem of modern humanity - depression.
According to experts, the light emanating from such a lamp is capable of increasing human performance, giving it vitality, which ultimately will undoubtedly affect the general well-being and cause the first signs of depression to recede.
The principle of the lamp is based on the stimulation of alpha and beta rhythms of the brain due to the effect of flickering light on the eye retina. Developers believe that 10-minute coverage is sufficient to significantly improve performance and, as a result, combat depression.
The correct frequency of the alpha rhythms of the brain triggers the self-healing mechanism of the nervous system, as a result, the person becomes decisive, active, does not succumb to the troubles and maintains its high level of performance even under adverse conditions. Beta rhythms are activated when intensive thinking with outward attention is required.
The first experiments showed that the lamp really works. Volunteers were asked to solve several problems in two variants of conditions. In the first case, the subjects were exposed to ordinary light, in the second - the light of experimental lamps. The results suggest that when exposed to "anti-depressive" radiation, people coped with work faster and more efficiently. The fact that the corresponding changes occurred in the cerebral cortex, testify to the resulting electroencephalogram.
Tomsk scientists plan to continue their studies in the field of the development of lamps that specifically affect brain activity. In the near future they have to determine how much daylight affects the intensity of the impact of the invention.
