New smart column from "Yandex" will significantly simplify your life

The specialists of Yandex have created a smart version of the sound column in which the popular voice assistant Alice is embedded. The column was named "Yandex.Station". The presentation took place at the Yet Another Conference.

According to the developers, the sound power that the novelty is capable of delivering is 50W. You can connect it to your TV, listen to your favorite music through it. The device can recognize a variety of commands on the inclusion of tracks, rewind, volume control. In addition, the default station is connected to the Yandex.Music store with more than 30 million tracks from different musical styles.

However, the combination of possible commands is not limited to music alone. You can ask "Alice" to set the alarm for a certain time, to buy something on one of the online trading platforms.

At the moment, to confirm the purchase, the user will need to use a special synchronized application on the mobile device.In the future, according to the developers, the process will be significantly simplified - the column itself will identify who is referring to it.

The construction of the Yandex.Station provides for the presence of 7 microphones that trace speech in detail, even in conditions of increased noise. Microphones can be turned off in cases where the user does not want his conversation to be “eavesdropped.” The device will go on sale in the next 2-3 months, the estimated cost is about 10,000 rubles.
