Company Specialists Ibm created a unique microcomputer that is not larger than a salt crystal.

The need for a device is related to the plans of IBM management for the introduction of technologies for tracking cargo flows. Such technologies allow not only to obtain operational information about the location of a particular cargo, but also to prevent theft and other types of unauthorized use of the goods.

The technology is called "blockchain". The first device that can be embedded in the system, and became an unusual microcomputer the size of a salt crystal. The developers claim that the novelty can be used in the systems of "smart home", as well as in the automotive and aviation industry.

The power of the computer is small - according to this indicator, it can compete with models manufactured more than 20 years ago, but the processor is equipped with thousands of transistors, a communication unit and a receiver.Cost of such a computer will be inexpensive - just a couple of dozen cents.

The model was presented at the IBM Think 2018 conference. Representatives of the IBM brand talked about the blockchain technology, as well as some other technologies that could significantly change the society and business practices around the world.
