1. Screen resolution. Any rear view camera provides an overview first — it makes parking or turning easier. Based on this, it is obvious that you need to watch the video from the rear recorder online, which means that there is no sense in choosing the image resolution greater than 720 * 576 pixels. The reason is that many cameras come bundled or are displayed on a screen no larger than 7 inches, and most often even smaller.Thus, a larger image size will simply not be relevant for a small display. But if we are talking about shooting video for its further viewing on a large monitor, it is better to choose models from 720p and higher.
2. Display size. Above it was said that most of the displays for review are 4 - 7 inches. This is the best option that allows you to consider what is happening on the screen and does not take up much space.
3. Matrix. Currently, models with CMOS-type matrices are more popular, they process the signal from each pixel and output it immediately to the screen. More recently, the main competitor of such matrices were CCD sensors, their advantage in a better picture, but the image is displayed with a delay. CMOS matrix, produced today, are not inferior to CCD and are cheaper.
4. Matrix resolution. Most people today believe that a large number of pixels is a plus. In fact, 0.3 megapixels are enough for surveillance cameras in a car. This is due to the standard video transmission - NTSC or PAL. More simply will not be understood by the device. Due to this standard, it was possible to achieve a uniform connection method and its simplicity.
5. Viewing angle. Here it is necessary to proceed from the principle - the more the better. The best option is 170 degrees. However, the larger the angle, the worse the picture. This does not mean that with an angle of 170 degrees nothing can be considered, but cheap models often give a poor-quality image.
