UK authorities plan to abandon gasoline cars
The corresponding bill has already been submitted for consideration. We are talking about the introduction of a ban on the production of cars running on gasoline and diesel fuel, starting in 2040.
The ban concerns and electric carsusing these fuels to recharge batteries. At the same time, those vehicles that were released before the specified time will continue to drive on the roads of the UK until their actual wear and tear. The procedure for the timely disposal of such vehicles will also be legally defined.
Along with this bill, a number of regions are already introducing a special tax. on environmental pollutioncalled t-charge. In central London, for example, they plan to start collecting pollution charges in October of this year. The tariff will depend on the traffic of the car on weekdays and during working hours (from 7.00 to 18.00) and will be about 10 pounds per day.The fee will affect not all car owners, but only those whose cars exceed the permissible standards for emissions into the atmosphere. According to preliminary estimates, there are about 10,000 such cars in London.
In recent years, the governments of many European countries are seriously thinking about the high degree of probability of a global economic catastrophe in the near future.
By analogy with the UK, the bill on the termination of the release of traditional cars since 2040 has been submitted to the French authorities. In Norway and Holland they plan to abandon gasoline and diesel since 2025, in Germany - from 2030.
Not so long ago it became known that Volvo completely restructured production in favor of electric vehicles and hybrid cars from 2019. In accordance with the approved business plans of the management, by 2025 more than one million electric and hybrid electric cars will be sold, and this value will grow every year.
It is expected that the initiative will be supported by other well-known manufacturers, as well as car enthusiasts, who are actually aware of the threat that the environment is exposed to every day as a result of numerous emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
