The use of a humidifier channel type

With a long stay in a room with over-dried air, the state of health worsens, the efficiency decreases, and a feeling of tightness of the skin appears. To eliminate these symptoms and create a comfortable microclimate, you need to increase the level of humidity in the room. This can be done using a channel-type humidifier.

What it is

Unlike a household free-standing humidifier, the channel type of the device is mounted in the ventilation system. This allows you to set the optimum level of humidity in the house. Channel type equipment designed for use in large rooms (in production, in greenhouses and greenhouses, museums, residential premises, warehouses, etc.).

Operating principle

Installed in the ventilation system equipment operates according to the following principle. The air that enters the humidifier is enriched with microparticles of water and further along the ventilation channel it enters the room where it mixes with the main air masses. Thus, the desired level of humidity is achieved.

Varieties of channel humidifiers

There are three types of channel humidification systems:

  1. Steam.
  2. Evaporative.
  3. Ultrasound.

Consider each type in more detail.

Steam

Such a system forms steam, which passes through the tubes through the filter and the valve of the device, goes to the distribution manifolds, and from there through the air ducts enters the room, saturating the air in it with humidity.

Some models are complete dropping systemdue to which water is reused. Its advantage is to save water, as well as reduce the formation of condensate.

Evaporative

This type of equipment is also called Honeycomb Humidifier. The corrosion-proof case of the device is equipped with the pallet which is filled with water. Inside the device are cassettes that absorb water well. Thanks to the operation of the pump, water from the sump flows to the cassettes and is absorbed by them, the rest of the liquid flows back into the sump. The air, passing through the cassettes, is saturated with moisture, after which it enters the room, where it mixes with the main air masses. As a result of such a humidification scheme, the air temperature in the room decreases.

Evaporative humidifier can act as an air conditioner in the summer.

The advantage of the evaporative type device is the retention of air pollutants on the walls of the honeycomb system.

 Evaporative duct humidifiers

Ultrasound

Humidifiers of this type are considered the most advanced and effective. They differ from their predecessors in small size and low consumption of electricity. Thanks to the ultrasound, the device turns water into the fog. The dry air entering the equipment passes through a water cloud and is saturated there with microscopic water particles, the diameter of which is 1-5 microns. Moist air flows move through the ventilation channel and enter the room, where they are mixed with the main air mass. As a result, the total humidity rises.

 Ultrasonic duct humidifiers

The advantages of ultrasonic duct humidifiers include:

  1. The ability to set the parameters of humidity and control it.
  2. Purification of water from all sorts of impurities.
  3. Prevent white deposits on surfaces.
  4. Silent work.
  5. Independent shutdown in case of emptying the tank with water, due to the presence of automation.

Duct humidifiers are used to create a healthy microclimate in large rooms. But what kind of equipment to give preference - it's up to you.
