Convection oven does not turn on

If the device does not turn on, the display on the control unit is off, then the search for the cause must be started with external inspection of the device. The problem may be a defective power cord, power plug, or damage to the case.

In case of violation of the integrity of the cord insulation, it must be replaced. The power cord may not have external damage, but still be faulty. To check the required multimeter. The cord is disconnected from the device and checked for contact between the ends of the cable with a multimeter in the resistance measurement mode. The condition of the fuse is also checked, the burnt one is changing.

Many models are equipped with micro micro switch on the lid, which does not allow to turn on the heat when the work bowl is not closed. If you press the switch with your finger, you can hear a distinct click. Lack of sound indicates contact breakage. Replace the limit switch only after disassembling the cover body. The cover is at the same time the case containing all working elements.

A lighted indicator indicates that power is being supplied to the device, and the previous item can be skipped. If the device still does not work, most likely it is out of order. control circuit. Unfortunately, its repair requires specific knowledge, it is impossible to consult an unprepared person in absentia. However, the problem may be a break in the connecting wires between the parts of the device. To inspect the wires need to disassemble the housing.

Typical malfunctions of the airgrill blowing system:

  • no airflow;
  • the fan hums when turned on;
  • rumble or rattle during operation;
  • air flow is too low.

To check the fan, you need to continue to disassemble the device. Turn off the screws fastening the bottom of the fan and the electric motor.

One of the possible reasons why the engine and, accordingly, the fan turns slowly or does not rotate at all, may be the ingress of fat on its shaft. After solidification, the fat impedes the normal operation of the engine. This can be seen in the picture. Therefore, the rumble is heard: the engine cannot cope with the load and its winding starts to buzz.

The accumulation of fat is removed with a cloth, and the residue is washed off with gasoline, alcohol or other liquid that dissolves the oil. Simply removing fat from the shaft is not enough. Need to produce shaft lubrication. This will require a Ciatim type engine oil.

In the absence of specialized oil, you can use petroleum jelly, but when it becomes hot, it becomes liquid, flows down from the shaft, and soon the operation will have to be repeated.

Rumble, screech and other unpleasant sounds during operation may be caused bearing failure on the motor shaft. The bearing is located on the back of the engine.

Most often the case is also in thickened grease. Unscrewing the two mounting screws, they gain access to the bearing itself. As before, we apply a new lubricant inside it. We return the cover to place and use our hands to make several turns of the shaft for even distribution of oil.

All proposed operations make sense when the motor winding is intact.. Therefore, during disassembly, we carefully examine the connecting wires for integrity. The conclusions of the motor winding we call a multimeter. Breakage of the winding is usually not possible to eliminate; it will be necessary to replace the electric motor.

Check limit switch

The limit switch on the lid was previously mentioned. To get to him, you have to disassemble the entire body. But you can check its health in another way.To do this, determine which wires go to it from the PCB. It is quite simple: two conductors go in his direction. Disconnect them from the circuit board and connect a multimeter to them. When you click on the switch, the resistance on the display of the tester should change from infinity to zero. Otherwise, the limit switch is faulty and needs to be changed.

Dear aerogrills have a more complex structure, they are controlled electronic circuitstherefore, it is better to repair them at the service centers, although some of the above failures can be tried to be repaired by yourself.
