Without it, not to do in studio apartments. But how to choose the perfect hood in the kitchen? Modern hoods can be chosen not only for technical parameters, but also so that they fit perfectly into the interior.
Constructions
Hoods are arranged according to the principle forced ventilation. They have inside the device (fan, motor), creating an air flow, addictive smells and products of combustion, formed during cooking. According to the cleaning method, exhaust devices are divided into:
- recyclingreleasing purified air back into the room;
- flow-throughtaking the polluted air into the ventilation shafts of the building.
Recirculating equipped with coarse and fine filters. They do not just clear the air of large pollutants, but also neutralize odors. Dirty air from the stove passes through the cleaning system and flows back into the kitchen.
Flow through the structures have a duct through which they are connected to the ventilation shafts. In such extracts, a metal net is usually installed to trap large particles of dirt. The remaining dirty air goes through the duct into the ventilation.
Advantages and disadvantages
Recirculation hoods usually more compact flow, and they are easy to install by yourself. There are models that look like flat panels, discreetly located under the kitchen cabinet. But when buying a recirculation exhaust device, you need to focus on the noise level: in many budget models it exceeds 50 dB.
The optimum noise level of the device - up to 45 dB.
Another disadvantage: recirculation hoods require systematic replacement of filters, and these are additional costs.
Flow hoods connect harderIt is usually trusted by professionals.In addition, they are more cumbersome due to the presence of the duct - it is a wide metal or corrugated pipe. Of course, it can be hidden in a kitchen cabinet, but in an existing kitchen it is difficult to do this.

- lack of consumables;
- lower noise level (compared to recirculation).
