1. Original toner. Just it is inside the corporate cartridge and is suitable for a particular printer model. You can order this coloring mixture only at large chemical factories of well-known manufacturers. For most brands (for example, for Samsung and others) it is impossible to buy similar material. However, there are no exceptions without rules: for example, it is quite possible to purchase such a cartridge for OKI, Lexmark and Canon.
2. More often refueling specialists use compatible options. But here, too, you need to look at the organization offering its services: for HP printers, Uninet, Katun, Colortek, Hi-Black are doing it. Many compatible toners are mistakenly called universal.
3. The most unfair option is fake toner. Externally, the packaging and design will be an exact copy of the original consumables, and inside there is a powder produced in violation of the prescribed standards or even intended for a different brand.

Here are a few recommendations that will help you to choose a really high-quality toner. First, pay attention to the cost - if it is too low, then this should give rise to the thought of a fake. The second rule: compatible options are best purchased from trusted reputable manufacturer, in which the packaging itself must be above all complaints. For example, for a Samsung laser printer, it is best to take Profiline, and for HP models (except HP - 436), Hi-black is perfect. The recognized leader is AQC (with American packaging).

A well-chosen toner will ensure high-quality printing and the possibility of up to 5 refills. Saving on the price here may not play the best service.

The future "tanker" should know in advance about the internal structure of the cartridge. This can be done using the instructions attached to the technique. Usually for all manufacturers it consists of two main parts:

3. The next step is to remove the rubberized part. charging shaft (it is located behind the photosensitive drum). It is again worth pulling, holding the sides.
   

4. Now you need to unscrew squeegee (cleaning blade).
   

5. We continue to work with extreme caution, shaking out the remnants of debris and powder.
6. It remains to clean the freed parts from dirt particles.

As you can see, all stages of cleaning are carried out with special attention and frugality. If a person does not possess these qualities, you should not even think about holding an event independently.

For a start it is worth going through a short course of the “anatomy” of the cartridge. An inspection will show if there is a hole in the device where you can fill up the toner itself. If this is not observed, you will have to completely disassemble the cartridge, and fill the toner into the slot through which it will further fall on magnetic shaft.

1. The magnetic hopper cap opens. Using a funnel-rolled A4 sheet of paper, pre-cooked toner powder is poured into the hopper.
   
2. It is best to leave 1.5-2 cm to the edge of the cartridge - this will prevent jamming of the part.
   
3. The lid is closed, both parts of the part are assembled and the entire installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Some models of laser printers are equipped with cartridge with chips. This item represents a print count. You should not try to refill such cartridges yourself - most likely it will simply lead to the failure of the entire device.This situation is completely justified, because the counter "thinks" that its resource has been used up.

Reset information (or change the chip) will help in specialized service centers.

In addition to black and white "lazernik", there are also colored models, they, too, if necessary, fill their own. At the preparation stage, you will need toners of the required colors. Refueling is performed using the same technology, but separately for each color cartridge. After that, it is necessary to print a test page and, if necessary, carry out the appropriate calibrations.

Precautionary measures

Any toner is a chemically dangerous toxic substance. Use it with extreme caution. It is important to take special measures.

1. Before starting work, put on a work dressing gown or other clothes that you do not mind getting dirty. On the hands must be rubber gloves. It is advisable to wear a special respiratory mask or gauze bandage - this will reduce the risk of poisoning.
2. The room in which you will perform the refueling process must be thoroughly ventilated. Individual particles of toner powder can even penetrate through a gas mask.
3. The table on which the action will take place is covered with a protective coating. A simple newspaper is also suitable as a budget option.

Equally important is the resource handling details of the laser printer. On average, you can do the procedure for refilling the cartridge 5-15 times. However, after every third procedure, the restoration should be done, that is, the consumables that need to be replaced.

In general, it is quite possible to self-refill a laser printer. But during the event, you need to be confident in your own abilities and carefully study the manual for your own model. Otherwise, it’s not possible to talk about saving “do-it-yourself service” - it’s better to carry out such maintenance by the hands of specialists.
